Site Screening

Telecom Tower owners are required by the F.C.C. to perform Site Screening. Some call this process AM Compliance Screening. This screening is required on all towers being built, or modified thru addition or removal of antennas.  In 2013 the FCC released Rules & Regulations Part 1-30002 thru 30004  which detail the steps necessary to determine a Telecom Towers effect on a local AM Broadcast Radio Station signal.

Telecom Tower height, distance from AM stations, the AM station frequency,  and  AM station antenna system type all enter into the FCC determination criteria.

Screening Small

The above screening shows ( 2 ) AM broadcast stations located within the FCC Part 1-30002  AM Analysis distance.
The telecommunications site involved will require further study for detuning criteria.

We will screen your Telecom Tower to determine its’ effect on local AM broadcast stations.  However, you can use The FCC AM Screening Site to screen your Telecom Site to ensure that your tower meets all FCC requirements to prevent AM broadcast signal pattern interference.
